When you're working with carbon steel pipe, getting the angle right matters. But laying out an accurate cut on a carbon steel 90° elbow can take more time than it should.
Measurements need to be taken. Calculations need to be made. Marks need to be transferred onto a curved fitting. And somewhere along the way, a small mistake can turn into an inaccurate cut, wasted material, or time spent starting over.
We thought there should be an easier way.
Meet the AngleMate Pro – Carbon Steel Elbow Angle Finder, a purpose-built pipefitting tool designed to make finding and marking angles on carbon steel 90° elbows faster, easier, and more repeatable.
Take the Math Out of Elbow Layout
Traditional elbow layout can require the user to calculate measurements and carefully transfer those measurements onto the fitting.
That takes valuable time—and every additional calculation or measurement introduces another opportunity for error.
The AngleMate Pro simplifies the process.
Place your carbon steel 90° elbow into the tool, select your desired angle, and use the AngleMate Pro as your guide to mark the fitting.
No complicated calculations. No trying to recreate the same measurement from fitting to fitting.
Just set it, mark it, and move on to the next step.
Four Common Angles. Built Right In.
For even faster layout, the AngleMate Pro features four lockable positions for some of the most commonly used elbow angles:
22.5° | 30° | 37.5° | 45°
Select the angle, lock the AngleMate Pro into position, and you have a consistent reference for marking your elbow.
Need an angle outside of those four positions? A wider range of degree markings is built directly into the tool, giving you flexibility for less common layouts as well.
Magnetic Hold + Built-In Centering
We didn't just want the AngleMate Pro to tell you where the angle is. We wanted the entire process to be easier.
That's why the tool incorporates built-in magnets and a centering ring.
The magnets help hold the carbon steel elbow securely against the AngleMate Pro while the centering ring helps properly position the fitting. Once everything is in place, you can focus on making your mark rather than trying to hold the elbow, tool, and marker in position at the same time.
It's a simple feature that makes a big difference when you're actually using the tool in the shop or field.
Designed for Accuracy and Repeatability
Saving a few minutes doesn't mean much if the end result isn't accurate.
The AngleMate Pro is designed to give pipefitters and fabricators a consistent reference point every time they use it.
Whether you're marking a 30° cut on one elbow or repeating the same layout across multiple fittings, the goal is the same: reduce the variables involved in the layout process and make it easier to produce consistent results.
Less measuring. Less calculating. Less guesswork.
Collapses to Less Than 3/4" Thick
A useful tool shouldn't become another bulky item taking up space in your toolbox.
When you're finished using the AngleMate Pro, it collapses down to less than 3/4" thick for compact storage.
We also put the magnetic base to work when the tool isn't being used. Attach it to a compatible steel toolbox, welding table, workbench, or other ferrous surface and keep it close by until you need it again.
Available for 2", 3" and 4" Carbon Steel Elbows
The AngleMate Pro is available in three sizes:
- 2" AngleMate Pro
- 3" AngleMate Pro
- 4" AngleMate Pro
Each version is designed specifically around its corresponding carbon steel 90° elbow size while providing the same locking, magnetic holding, centering, marking, and storage features.
A New Approach to an Old Problem
Some of the best tools don't reinvent the work—they remove unnecessary steps from it.
That's exactly what we set out to accomplish with the AngleMate Pro.
Instead of spending valuable time calculating, measuring, transferring marks, and double-checking your work, the AngleMate Pro gives you a purpose-built tool for one specific job: quickly and accurately finding and marking the angle you need on a carbon steel 90° elbow.
For pipefitters, welders, fabricators, mechanical contractors, and fabrication shops, those saved minutes can add up quickly over the course of a project.
Work faster. Improve repeatability. Reduce opportunities for layout mistakes.
