Who is AOI?
AOI Designs is a small, family-owned 3D printing and fabrication company built on creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on experience. Founded in 2001 by Josh Pfalzgraff, AOI began with custom CAD design and quickly evolved as Josh’s fascination with building unique solutions led to his first commercial 3D printing project with Apollo Mechanical for Northern Quest Casino. That early success opened the door to the possibilities of additive manufacturing and set the foundation for what AOI Designs would become.
Today, Josh is joined by his brother Justin and their cousin Jason, each bringing a unique skill set that allows AOI to innovate, adapt, and deliver practical solutions. Headquartered in Spokane Valley, Washington, AOI Designs proudly partners with local companies—including McKinstry—to solve real-world manufacturing and process challenges. Josh Pfalzgraff
The Innovator & Founder
Josh is the technical mind behind AOI Designs. A highly skilled modeler and builder, he can design and fabricate nearly anything from concept to completion. He has managed large-scale construction projects and has helped design one-of-a-kind facilities along the way. His experience shows through thoughtful design and hands-on problem-solving. Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with his three kids—Jade, Landon, and Jordan.
Jason Pearson
The Machinist
Jason is the mechanical backbone of the team. An experienced mechanic and welder, he brings deep, hands-on knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes. Known for his strong work ethic, determination, and attention to detail, Jason takes pride in building things the right way. When he’s not in the shop, you’ll likely find him working on his project cars or spending time with his three corgis—Bailey, Blair, and Shorts.
Justin Pfalzgraff
The Rainmaker
Justin brings a strong background in business, with experience as a Controller and CFO across multiple industries. As a licensed CPA, he keeps the books clean and the money flowing—earning him the name “The Rainmaker.” Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Kars, and their two mini Australian Shepherds, Hazy and Rye.
